Eventful holiday (23rd Feb 03) Cookie -x-

Rupert's had his half term this week, and he's had a nice time, apart from falling out of a canoe, and his brother breaking his arm (ouch!). His cat's pregnant (kitties, awwww!), and he's taken up yoyoing.

No Oliver Wood in Prisoner of Azkaban -

Quidditch in the third Harry Potter film is in doubt after Sean Biggerstaff revealed he's not in the new film.

The actor played Gryffindor captain Oliver Wood in the first two films, but in a statement on his website, Biggerstaff said he won't be in Prisoner of Azkaban.

His website says: "Oliver Wood will not feature in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Obviously this means I won't feature in it either.

Sean says we haven't heard the last of him
"When putting a novel of the scale of POA into a two-hour movie, cuts have to be made. This time Oliver was one of them."

There are two Quidditch matches in the third book, and it would seem to be really difficult to show those without the Gryffindor team captain.

But we won't know for sure if Quidditch has got the chop from the film until a later date.

Potter 3 'could be delayed' over strikes -

Filming of the Prisoner of Azkaban could be set back because people in the movie business might be going on strike.

Workers including carpenters, painters and stage hands are threatening to walk out at the end of the week because of a pay row.

If hundreds of people do go on strike, it could seriously delay the Harry Potter movie.

Filming of the third Potter instalment started at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, and Shepperton Studios in London in February.

Other films hit by the possible strike action include a new big-screen version of Thunderbirds, and Brad Pitt's new movie, Troy.

Azkaban back on track as strikes stopped -

The Harry Potter film should not be delayed as strikes have now been cancelled.

There had been fears that the Prisoner of Azkaban would be affected by film studio staff who were asking for extra pay.

It could have meant hundreds of carpenters, painters and stage hands walking out on the set of Potter 3, which could have seriously delayed the movie.

Daniel Radcliffe's back as Harry
But now a deal's been struck between Potter film-makers, Warner Brothers, and the workers' union.

Filming of the latest Potter movie started at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, and Shepperton Studios in London, in February.

Most of the old faves are back in it, as well as some new faces too, like British actor Gary Oldman, who'll be playing Sirius Black, and Timothy Spall, who'll playing Peter Pettigrew.
